If you've found a discount code, it's probably clickbait and hasn't come from us.

Our promise to you however is that our products are worth the price tag! Read this blog post to find out why.

Paint, murals, fabric & samples

We cannot accept returns on samples, murals, paint or fabric due to the bespoke nature of the products.

Wallpaper & cushions

We always recommend ordering a sample of our wallpaper before purchase and using our wallpaper calculator to determine how many rolls you will need. Our wallpapers are batchless so we would always recommend ordering the correct amount of rolls (rather than over ordering) and if for any reason you need to purchase more, you can do so safe in the knowledge that our wallpapers are batchless.

We hope you love your Woodchip & Magnolia wallpaper and/or cushions but on the occasion you would like to return, we accept returns which are unopened, undamaged and in the original packaging within 30 days of delivery.

We encourage all of our customers to check their wallpaper rolls, and that they're happy with the application method, within these 30 days as unfortunately we cannot accept returns outside of this time period.

We also advise that rolls are checked before cutting and hanging as we cannot accept claims after cutting and hanging of the product.

Unwanted wallpapers should be returned in an unopened, undamaged, sealed box and in a fully re-sellable condition.

Returns are at the cost and responsibility of our customer.

Please note that all returns are made at your own risk.

During busy periods (Christmas, holidays etc.) and in the case of bespoke murals, manufacturing and delivery times can take longer and next day delivery cannot always be guaranteed. As a small family business we do our best to get our products to you as fast as possible, however as a very small team, factors out of our control can sometimes contribute to these longer lead times, which we hope you can understand.

Shipping is calculated at checkout.

The good news is that most of what you'll need will probably already be in your toolbox! Here's our checklist to make sure you're prepped and ready to decorate:

For wallpaper and murals

- Paste the Wall paste (we recommend Solvite Paste the Wall)

- Paste brush or roller

- Smoothing tool (brush or plastic)

- Tape measure

- Pencil

- Laser level (not required but useful for getting your wallpaper straight) or spirit level

- Seam roller

- Utility knife

- Drop cloth

For paint

- Paint brush

- Roller

- Masking tape (unless you're confident in your freehanding!)

- Drop cloth

Before you buy your wallpaper, you'll need to work out how many rolls you'll need. Lucky for you, we've now got a handy wallpaper calculator tool on each of our wallpaper product pages to make it as easy as possible.

Simply measure each of your walls length and width (in either cm or inches) and input into the calculator.

You can add as many walls as you need to on the calculator

Click 'calculate' and our calculator tool will tell you exactly how many rolls to order

If you're still unsure, it's always best to over order. That way, you'll prevent any hold ups with decorating and additional costs for decorators time etc. Any unused rolls can always be returned for a full refund, as long as they're unopened.

All of our wallpapers, borders and murals use the 'Paste the Wall' method of application, which means you paste the wall and not the paper.

It's much less messy than the tradiitonal 'Paste the paper' method, as well as quicker and easier.

All of our wallpapers are durable and hardwearing and are therefore often used in bathrooms, however there are a few things to keep in mind...

- Keep the wallpaper as dry as possible by avoiding splash zones or anywhere that comes into direct contact with water

- Make sure your bathroom is well ventilated

- Sometimes our customers use a clear varnish such as Polyvine Decorators Varnish in ‘Dead Flat’ on top of the wallpaper to provide some added water resistance.

Yes.

On fresh plaster and/or painted walls, "size" or "seal" the wall before wallpapering.

This means making up a diluted solution of paste and liberally applying it to the walls being decorated, then letting it dry. It will be absorbed in the porous plaster and will stop the paste being absorbed when it is applied.

Our fabrics come available in 3 finishes:

FR Treated
Standard FR treated fabric means that it's been match tested to ensure it won't burn with a match against it. This treatment is usually used in residential upholstery and commercial curtains and cushions etc.

CRIB 5 Treated fabric
This is when the fabric has been crib and match tested to ensure it will not burn with a match against it, plus a wooden stack called a crib is placed on the fabric and ignited. This treatment is usually used in commercial and hospitality environments.

Drapery
This is the untreated option, meaning the fabric has not been treated with any chemicals to protect it against burning; great for curtains in non-commercial settings.

The main difference between wallpaper and murals is that murals, unlike wallpaper, can be customised to your exact room measurements and are scaled to your space.

We can also manipulate, adjust or tweak our mural designs to accommodate for obstacles such as doorways, archways and windows. For further help with this, please get in touch at hello@woodchipandmagnolia.co.uk

Wallpaper on the other hand provides a more uniformed look and is generally used for one feature wall or multiple walls. Murals are most often used to make a feature of one wall or to highlight a design feature such as panelling or the ceiling.

Our Ditsy wallpapers are smaller scale versions of the original design, meaning there is more of a pattern repeat.

Our Ditsy wallpapers are great for smaller spaces where you need a smaller scale pattern to see the full impact of the design.

Our linen is made from 100% heavy weight polyester with a linen look and feel.

It is made from 48% recycled polyester.

Recycled polyester requires less energy to produce whilst also giving a second life to plastic bottles which would otherwise end up in landfill.

Our recycled polyester uses certified REPREVE yarns.

REPREVE contains a DNA marker called FiberPrint which is used to identify and certify the yarns.

All our fabrics and wallcovering products are printed in house by ourselves using digital print technology, hence it is printed onto the material.
