A Lesson in Colour Drenching: An 011 Mallard Staircase
We've loved following the renovation journey of Christina (also known as @houseofhorspool) and her family's 19th Century Georgian manor house, located in the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside.
Having already used Woodchip & Magnolia in her entrance hall, billiard room and powder room, we were excited to see how Christina and her husband Dean's latest project - the old service staircase - would be transformed.
We weren't disappointed when Christina shared the images from her photoshoot with Alternative Flooring, who provided the stunning and very in keeping tartan carpet. Opting for our 011 Mallard paint, Christina used colour drenching to perfection by painting multiple surfaces including the walls, ceiling, skirting boards, architraves and panelling in one colour.
With the tartan carpet perfectly complementing the 011 Mallard blue walls, Christina has managed to transform this unloved, old service staircase and brought it bang up to date whilst still maintaining its period features and traditional charm.
Would you dare to colour drench?
