Our Story
Husband and wife duo Nina and Paul launched their exciting new venture Woodchip & Magnolia at their kitchen table back in 2016. After having worked for a leading interiors brand for almost two decades they wanted to take back control of the design process, freeing themselves from the traditional deadlines, endless selection meetings, structured seasons and long manufacturing times from concept to launch to enable them to create inspired, spontaneous fluid and unique home interior products.
With Nina as the creative driving force behind the brand and Paul at the forefront of the latest printing technology, the two developed Woodchip & Magnolia into the established luxury British design house it is today.
Our Inspiration
From the designs inspired by the flora and fauna found on our doorstep in Lancashire to the eco friendly way we run our business, nature is firmly at the heart of it.
Every design has a story and has been created to inspire and delight every customer.
Our Design Studio
Flying the flag for British manufacturing, we proudly design and produce all of our own wallpapers and fabrics in house to order.
Doing it this way means we have creative control over the whole process; from creating bespoke orders to the printing, production and shipping to your doorstep. We’re there every step of the way to make sure we’re delivering the highest quality products in the most eco friendly way possible.
Our Milestones
From selling our very first roll of wallpaper back in 2016 - the now iconic Ludvic Yellow - we’ve grown from humble beginnings in a garage to establishing our first dedicated design studio, while steadily expanding our team along the way.
In 2018, we launched our first paint collection and began exhibiting at leading trade shows, including Decorex, ICFF and The Ideal Home Show. As our studio grew, so did our ambitions - leading to the launch of our second paint collection in 2025.
Alongside this growth, we’ve embraced innovation by adopting new printing technologies and investing in state-of-the-art machinery, allowing us to continually elevate the quality and creativity of our work.
Our Collaborations
Collaboration has always been at the heart of what we do. Over the years, we’ve partnered with inspiring creatives across industries, including working with Pearl Lowe and Fearne Cotton on their own distinctive ranges - with Fearne’s collection personally designed by herself.
Alongside these high-profile collaborations, we’ve also worked with countless content creators, interior designers, and architects, bringing a wide range of visions to life and continually pushing the boundaries of design through shared creativity.
