Dream Schemes: Chinoiserie Wallpapers

Our Chinoiserie style wallpapers are inspired by traditional Chinese and Japanese design. Bold and beautiful, they're highly pigmented with bright colours, and the intricate patterns of mythical birds and magical landscapes give off a sense of the whimsy.

But which paint colours do you pair them with we hear you ask? Find out which paints are the perfect match to your Chinoiserie wallpaper, and find your dream scheme today.

Wisteria Pretty Pink is a soft and feminine wallpaper, depicting the trailing vines of the Wisteria. It would look beautiful in a bedroom paired with complementing shades of pink such as 003 Pink Cloud or 014 Moorland, or toned down with our 001 Cotton and used in a more social space such as a kitchen.

crane bird forest green

Inspired by the orient, Crane Bird Forest Green is an eccentric interpretation of Chinese and Japanese traditional design, featuring mythical birds and pops of pink set against a lush green background. For a contrasting paint colour try 004 First Light or to match the paper exactly, go for 010 Moss. 002 Magnolia is the perfect off-white for a more neutral look to make the paper pop.

wisteria midnight mint

We love Wisteria Midnight Mint in a bedroom paired with 012 Reservoir for a really cosy and cocooning feel. Alternatively, keep your space feeling fresh by pairing it with 008 Turton (the perfect combo for a bathroom in our opinion!) or 001 Cotton.

wisteria botanical green

Pink and green isn't going anywhere fast and is still one of our favourite colour combinations. The green in our Wisteria Botanical Green wallpaper is the perfect shade to inject colour and personality into a room and pairs beautifully with our pink shades 003 Pink Cloud and 004 First Light. For a matchy matchy look, try 010 Moss.

rivington yellow

Rivington Yellow is one of our best sellers and you can see why; it's bold, beautiful and makes a real statement, particularly when paired with its complementing paint colours 010 Moss, 006 Peat and 001 Cotton. We've seen it paired with green metro tiles in a bathroom and all white in a bedroom, both with stunning effect. It's one of those wallpapers with a unique versatility that would work in most spaces in need of a pop of sunny yellow.
