Holly is our Head of Creative which means she’s responsible for all things visual, creative and marketing
A typical day can look like anything from a photo shoot in the design studio to writing copy, pulling a campaign together, designing emails, managing our social media accounts or planning our next collab.

Holly is our Head of Creative which means she’s responsible for all things visual, creative and marketing
A typical day can look like anything from a photo shoot in the design studio to writing copy, pulling a campaign together, designing emails, managing our social media accounts or planning our next collab.
What path did you take to land the role of Head of Creative at Woodchip & Magnolia?
I studied Fashion journalism at university whilst also working within the fashion industry, doing work experience roles and then eventually getting a job at trend forecasting website WGSN and then the magazine publishing house Hearst UK where I worked on titles such as Cosmopolitan, Company and Red. My roles were very varied yet always creative and included art direction, styling, copy writing, marketing, social media, design etc.
After working for over 10 years in the fashion industry I then pursued my love of interiors and completed an online course at the KLC School of Design during covid and then landed the job here at Woodchip & Magnolia. There's a lot of crossover between fashion and interiors so all of the skills I'd honed over the years applied within the interiors industry and at Woodchip & Magnolia too.
What do you love about your job?
I absolutely love working with all the amazing and creative people who also work here, as well as the creativity and variety of the job. One day I can be designing emails or creating a landing page for our next campaign launch and the next I can be at our design studio working with the design team on new designs and running our social media accounts. It's a very exciting place to work!
Do you have a favourite Woodchip & Magnolia design?
It’s so hard to choose a favourite Woodchip & Magnolia design but Va Va Frome, Ava Marika and Awning Stripes have a special place in my heart. I’m also a big fan of our new Cari Wave and Michelle designs too - just trying to work out how to choose which to put in my own home!
