Arcadia First Light Velvet Fabric evokes the serenity of a dreamlike botanical retreat, where lush vines twist through bursts of exotic florals in vibrant tones. Inspired by traditional Chinoiserie and reimagined with fresh modernity, its soft pink ground creates a gentle contrast to the rich multi-coloured blooms, delivering a sense of elegance and abundance. The velvet’s plush pile catches light beautifully, enhancing the depth and tonal richness of each intricate detail, making it both bold and graceful.

Ideal as a statement curtain fabric or for sumptuous soft furnishings such as cushions and accent upholstery. Available in three flame-retardant finishes to suit your project: None FR for domestic use, Standard FR (BS 5852:1) for home upholstery or commercial curtains, and Crib 5 (BS 5852:2006 Clause 11) for high-traffic hospitality settings requiring the highest fire safety standards.

Living with velvet

Pile direction: all pieces must be cut in the same direction or they will reflect light differently and read as two colours.

Shading: velvet naturally appears lighter or darker depending on your viewing angle. This is inherent to the fabric, not a fault.

Grinning: digital printing sits on the pile surface. Stretching over a tight frame can reveal the base cloth beneath. A natural characteristic, not a fault.

Upholstery projects: please consult your maker before ordering to confirm suitability, quantity and cutting plan.

£13 UK delivery. We print and cut every length ourselves, Monday to Thursday, within 4 working days, then next-day tracked delivery. International 2 to 10 working days, duties included.

As our fabric is printed and cut to order especially for you, we're unable to accept returns once it's made. Please order a sample first, and do check colour and quantity before cutting. Anything faulty, tell us within 14 days and we'll put it right
