"Crackin' flags" is a northern slang term meaning "really hot weather" and suggests the heat is intense enough to cause the flagstones to crack. This gorgeous shade of mustard yellow reminds us of the hazy childhood days of summer when the sun shone so bright and the weather was so warm that there was nothing left to do other than fire up the BBQ.

A warm, sun-baked mustard yellow that radiates nostalgia, Crackin’ Flags captures the hazy joy of endless summer afternoons. Inspired by the northern saying for a scorcher of a day, this golden hue with gentle earthy undertones brings a softly energising glow to any space — ideal for kitchens, dining rooms or studios where conversation flows and creativity sparks. It sits beautifully with natural wood tones and deep blues, perfect for eclectic or mid-century interiors.

Formulated as a luxury matt emulsion for walls and ceilings, it’s an eco-conscious choice: water-based, low in VOCs, and completely solvent-free. This high-performance paint covers up to 10m² per litre and dries to the touch in just 1–2 hours, ready for a second coat in four. Whether used boldly or with restraint, Crackin’ Flags offers a warm, lived-in brightness that feels both timeless and joyfully modern.

All our paint is water-based and solvent-free meaning it’s kinder to you, your home and the environment.

Coverage: 10m2/L
Drying time: touch dry in 1-2 hours. Can be painted over after approx 4 hours. Hard dry overnight.

Our paint samples are recyclable and have been hand-painted onto our wallpaper roll ends
