Rubigo Copper Velvet Fabric channels the quiet beauty of aged industrial structures reclaimed by nature. Taking its name from the Latin for ‘rust’, the design reflects the weathered ironwork of Manchester’s Castlefield Viaduct, softened by encroaching foliage and time. A dense, geometric motif—reminiscent of cloud formations or corroded metal filigree—is rendered in plush velvet, giving a subtle sheen that shifts gently in the light. A tranquil sky-blue base is layered with coral-toned detailing, creating a contemporary harmony that feels both bright and grounded.

Ideal as a soft furnishing fabric, Rubigo Copper is well suited to eclectic or modern spaces seeking a touch of the unexpected. Available in None FR, Standard FR (BS 5852:1), and Crib 5 (BS 5852:2006 Clause 11), it’s a versatile designer fabric for curtains, cushions, and upholstery in both residential and commercial interiors.

Technical Specifications

Our linen fabric is a heavy weight polyester with a linen look and feel. It’s made from 48% recycled polyester. Recycled polyester requires less energy to produce whilst also giving a second life to plastic bottles which would end up in landfill. Our recycled polyester uses certified Repreve yarns. Repreve yarns contain a DNA marker called FiberPrint which is used to identify and certify the yarns. Free from harmful chemicals and safe for human and environmental health.

£13 UK delivery. We print and cut every length ourselves, Monday to Thursday, within 4 working days, then next-day tracked delivery. International 2 to 10 working days, duties included.

As our fabric is printed and cut to order especially for you, we're unable to accept returns once it's made. Please order a sample first, and do check colour and quantity before cutting. Anything faulty, tell us within 14 days and we'll put it right
