Inspired by the weathered iron of the Castlefield Viaduct in Manchester, Rubigo in Lemon Steel captures the quiet poetry of urban decay reclaimed by nature. A linen base lends soft texture and gentle drape, while a rhythmic geometric pattern—echoing cloud-like forms—unfolds in golden yellow over calming grey. The interplay of tones brings a subtle luminosity, offering a balance between boldness and restraint. With echoes of Eastern textile traditions, this fabric exudes both warmth and refinement, working beautifully in modern, minimalist interiors as well as more eclectic schemes.

Suitable for drapery, cushions, and upholstery, Rubigo Lemon Steel Linen is available in three treatments: None FR for domestic curtains and accessories; Standard FR (BS 5852:1) for general upholstery and commercial curtains; and Crib 5 (BS 5852:2006 Clause 11) for high-demand hospitality and commercial upholstery.

Technical Specifications

Our linen fabric is a heavy weight polyester with a linen look and feel. It’s made from 48% recycled polyester. Recycled polyester requires less energy to produce whilst also giving a second life to plastic bottles which would end up in landfill. Our recycled polyester uses certified Repreve yarns. Repreve yarns contain a DNA marker called FiberPrint which is used to identify and certify the yarns. Free from harmful chemicals and safe for human and environmental health.

£13 UK delivery. We print and cut every length ourselves, Monday to Thursday, within 4 working days, then next-day tracked delivery. International 2 to 10 working days, duties included.

As our fabric is printed and cut to order especially for you, we're unable to accept returns once it's made. Please order a sample first, and do check colour and quantity before cutting. Anything faulty, tell us within 14 days and we'll put it right
