This olive green velvet fabric captures that juxtaposition of decay and renewal, its tightly repeated cloud-like pattern rising gently across the surface in tones of faded sage and muted moss. The plush velvet pile adds depth and softness, catching the light subtly for an atmospheric effect.

Inspired by the rhythm of Asian landscape paintings, Rubigo lends a calm, grounding energy to interiors. Ideal for contemporary or minimal spaces seeking warmth and quiet character, it brings understated elegance to upholstery, curtains, or soft furnishings.

Living with velvet

Pile direction: all pieces must be cut in the same direction or they will reflect light differently and read as two colours.

Shading: velvet naturally appears lighter or darker depending on your viewing angle. This is inherent to the fabric, not a fault.

Grinning: digital printing sits on the pile surface. Stretching over a tight frame can reveal the base cloth beneath. A natural characteristic, not a fault.

Upholstery projects: please consult your maker before ordering to confirm suitability, quantity and cutting plan.

£13 UK delivery. We print and cut every length ourselves, Monday to Thursday, within 4 working days, then next-day tracked delivery. International 2 to 10 working days, duties included.

As our fabric is printed and cut to order especially for you, we're unable to accept returns once it's made. Please order a sample first, and do check colour and quantity before cutting. Anything faulty, tell us within 14 days and we'll put it right
