Rubigo Rust Linen Fabric draws inspiration from Manchester’s Castlefield Viaduct, where weathered iron structures meet wild, unscripted growth. Its name—Latin for ‘rust’—echoes the aged beauty of metal transformed by time. A small-scale geometric motif reminiscent of traditional Asian art is layered across a finely woven linen ground, with terracotta and whisper-grey tones creating a soft yet distinctive contrast. The pattern flows with quiet regularity, its cloud-like forms adding gentle movement to a matte, naturally textured surface.

Ideal for curtains, upholstery, and soft furnishings, Rubigo brings warmth and subtle intrigue to both minimalist and layered interiors. Offered in None FR, Standard FR (BS 5852:1), and Crib 5 (BS 5852:2006 Clause 11) treated versions, this designer linen fabric meets the needs of residential and commercial projects alike while honouring its industrial-botanical heritage.

Technical Specifications

Our linen fabric is a heavy weight polyester with a linen look and feel. It’s made from 48% recycled polyester. Recycled polyester requires less energy to produce whilst also giving a second life to plastic bottles which would end up in landfill. Our recycled polyester uses certified Repreve yarns. Repreve yarns contain a DNA marker called FiberPrint which is used to identify and certify the yarns. Free from harmful chemicals and safe for human and environmental health.

£13 UK delivery. We print and cut every length ourselves, Monday to Thursday, within 4 working days, then next-day tracked delivery. International 2 to 10 working days, duties included.

As our fabric is printed and cut to order especially for you, we're unable to accept returns once it's made. Please order a sample first, and do check colour and quantity before cutting. Anything faulty, tell us within 14 days and we'll put it right
