Rubigo Rust Velvet Fabric draws its name and character from the Latin word for rust, evoking the weather-worn beauty of corroded iron found along Manchester’s Castlefield Viaduct. The design explores this industrial legacy through an intricate geometric pattern, where interlocking angular forms hint at neglected rail tracks now softened by wild blooms. Rendered in rich velvet, its surface plays gently with light, bringing a soft sheen that shifts across warm tones of coppery coral and subdued blush.

Understated yet distinct, this angular motif lends a mid-century modern elegance to contemporary interiors, perfect for upholstery, statement curtains, or bold soft furnishings. Technical Specifications

Our linen fabric is a heavy weight polyester with a linen look and feel. It’s made from 48% recycled polyester. Recycled polyester requires less energy to produce whilst also giving a second life to plastic bottles which would end up in landfill. Our recycled polyester uses certified Repreve yarns. Repreve yarns contain a DNA marker called FiberPrint which is used to identify and certify the yarns. Free from harmful chemicals and safe for human and environmental health.

£13 UK delivery. We print and cut every length ourselves, Monday to Thursday, within 4 working days, then next-day tracked delivery. International 2 to 10 working days, duties included.

As our fabric is printed and cut to order especially for you, we're unable to accept returns once it's made. Please order a sample first, and do check colour and quantity before cutting. Anything faulty, tell us within 14 days and we'll put it right
